I wonder . . .
why can I not find a skirt for Miranda that goes below her knees? Or at least to her knees?
why can I not NOT eat the Halloween candy in the house?
why are there so many LEGO pieces in such obnoxious places around the house?
if I can get in another long walk this week?
what can I do for the 2nd graders Halloween craft?
why did I sign up for room mom?
what should we have for dinner tonight?
if I can cross one thing off my to-do list today?
how much longer will I get to sing Merek lullabyes each night?
if I should have school portraits done?
if Bird will start liking school?
when I will actually finish My Name is Asher Lev?
if we will still live here in five years?
Just some random questions . . .
I have a tutorial up on the Polka Dot Whimsy blog today. Easy project to make. Let me know what you think.
Have a really wonderful Wednesday :)

Hello! You can fix the skirt issue! Just sew a strip of material to an existing skirt to make it longer! Very cute & easy! And yes you can do the kids portraits! It's so much cheaper! Go on a walk when it's a little overcast and just do little posings along the way! You can do it! And check out pinterest for Halloween kids crafts! Have a great day! I don't know what's for dinner either! We have G's conference at 7:20 tonight!
For Ana's third grade class last year I got smooth river rocks from the floral department and spray painted them black. (sometimes you can find already black ones)
I took googly eyes and a hot glue gun and glow in the dark puff paint and a couple silver sharpies.
The kids wrote their names with the sharpie on the bottom and put dots where they wanted eyes. I applied the hot glue and they put the eyes on.
Then I let them use the puff paint to make the other features-like sharp teeth and noses. It was a HUGE success.
I did have another mom with a glue gun and that helped things go quickly.
p.s. I can't not eat candy that is in the house either. Even when I've made myself sick.
LOL... about "why did I sign up for room mom..." I pretty much think that every year.
