Saturday morning Lina had a soccer game. It was perfect weather for a fall game--overcast and 60 degrees. She played sweeper for part of the first half, then played goalie for the entire 2nd half.
She had a run-in with a player from the opposing team. They both fell to the ground and Lina hopped back up to continue after the ball, but the other girl stayed on the ground crying. The game was stopped while coaches attended to the girl. It really scared Lina and she started crying, worried about the girl. The girl was fine--she got the wind knocked out of her. Lina has such a caring, sensitive heart.
She did a great job as goalie--amazing throw-ins. Her team ended up winning 6-5. I like the games that are evenly matched.
DH had taken the M's and Bird on a walk and he met us at the game. Merek looked so cute in his baseball hat, I had to snap this shot.
He is really into the "cheese" mode when I have the camera out. Cute little guy.
After lunch, DH and I took Merek to the outlet shopping center. DH needed some new shoes and so did Merek. I bought a raincoat--finally after living here for almost 7 years!
We also went to the grocery store. It really isn't a good idea for us to go to the grocery store together. We don't agree on what to get and whether or not to buy something if it's on sale or not. Do you go shopping with your SO? I think my mom always did shopping on her own. But DH's parents always went grocery shopping together. Maybe we'll have to try again sometime . . .

I prefer shopping alone, Nate gets way too distracted and wants to check out everything and look at all the labels. Our trips are a lot longer when he is with me. Plus, if Nate is with me that means all the boys are with me, and I prefer not to go grocery shopping with the little boys :)
I do all of the shopping. Maybe once a year before his hunting trip we'll go together. But he just throws things in the cart and it drives me crazy! His hunt is this month, so looks like that shopping trip will be soon!
I've just sat here for way too long trying to figure out if SO is a typo or what it's an acronym for. But I'm guessing it has something to do with shopping with ur husband. We do it sometimes. It's fine with me either way. He's always hungry and willing to buy anything, so I'm good with that. ;-).
So funny about Merek. Bryn went through a stage of smiling for the camera when she would yell, "eeeeeeee!" which I suppose was her version of "cheese!". LOL. And Lina is such a sweetie. Glad all was well and that they won the game, too. ;-)
It is lovely to have such a sensitive caring daughter. I can't believe how big Merek is becoming.
Sounds like a good Saturday. I'm starting to have sports withdrawals! :)
