I enjoyed using the August and September Polka Dot Whimsy kits to put together some cards.
The kits have really unique trims and embellishments. This first card was a project that kept building upon itself. I started with the striped paper base and days of the week sheet. Then I added the tag and fabric strip and border sticker. I wanted to pair the Handle with Care sticker with the heart, but just the two of them together seemed not quite enough. So, I started layering different pieced and came up with this.
This card came together really quickly. I just matted the MME quote card and then added buttons and the butterflies. I stitched the trim to the orange dot paper to keep it secured.
This is a card that got picked up for publication in the March 2012 CARDS Trends. So, I'll have to wait to share that one.
This is probably my favorite card of the bunch. I took the striped fabric strip and cut it into three short strips, then stitched around them so they were the mat for the Soar die cut. Those cute little flags at the bottom are from My Pretty Little Studio.
Which card is your favorite?
Enjoy your day :)
