39 Things . . .

on my 39th Birthday.

1. I was born on a Tuesday.
2. Growing up I was not a very adventurous eater.
3. I have a secret affection for Diet Dr. Pepper.
3. Numbers and how they relate fascinate me.
4. I rarely wear lipstick.
5. My Bachelor degree is in Physical Education and Biology (secondary education).
6. I completed a Master of Science degree in Pedagogical Kinesiology.
7. I like rereading favorite books.
8. Cloudy skies and rain affect my mood.
9. Sunshine makes me happy.
10. Yellow is my favorite color.
11. I am the youngest of four girls.
12. I was a cheerleader in high school.
13. Just when I think I've got life figured out, I realize I still have a long way to go.
14. My patience has increased over the years.
15. I am a peacemaker.
16. I enjoy finding healthy recipes to feed my family.
17. I don't like cooking. (But will still try to make the healthy recipes).
18. I haven't travelled much outside the USA, but I have been to: France, Italy, Canada, Mexico, and Tahiti.
19. Someday I'd love to travel the US and Canada in an RV.
20. SO excited for the Summer Olympics this year. I LOVE watching the Olympics.
21. I am super competitive . . . but try not to let others know that.
22. I ran (well, jogged) a half-marathon 5 years ago. Not sure I'll ever do that again.
23. I have five amazing kids.
24. I am married to a very kind, patient, loving, happy man.
25. Chocolate, dark, please.
26. I dream of having a garden and chickens and goats . . .
27. I have seen Wicked four times--twice in Seattle, once in New York and once in Los Angeles
28. I play the piano.
29. I like to play games--Racko, Yahtzee, Boggle, Blokus, Life. But I'm not very good at strategy games.
30. My favorite movie is The Princess Bride.
31. I love to bake (and eat) brownies and cookies.
32. I'm not very excited about being 40 next year.
33. Someday I'd like to have a pixie cut.
34. My ears are double-pierced, but I have only worn one pair of earrings for over a decade.
33. I am a conservative.
34. I have a small tendency to hoard things.
35. Working on overcoming that.
36. I drive a minivan.
37. I would like to drive a Suburban.
38. Ice cream is my favorite treat.
39. My eyes are hazel.
