You are often off in your own world. You have an incredible imagination and can play for hours by yourself. You still love to play with your dolls. You still love to dress up. You love to create things--any little paper or box that you discover is recycled into some project of yours. You set up "Reading School" for your brothers--LOVE that! You dance to your own music (literally). You love to sing.
The outfits you come up with are stunningly . . . different. You often come downstairs in clothes all the same color. OR you will mix patterns that are . . . interesting. So fun to see what you come up with. You really like having a flower headband or clip in your hair. You like me to brush and braid your hair at night before bed.
You have finished the first Harry Potter book, and are almost done with the second. You recently lost your 9th tooth. You are as tall as your big sister was when she turned 10 years old. You love helping with your baby brother. You really are a good little helper when mom needs chores done around the house. But it is hard for you to keep your room clean. Maybe we can work on that together :)
You surprised me by doing so well in the Turkey Trot. Dad told you how to pace yourself and you came in 3rd overall of all the girls. Way to go! You try your best and that is all I can ask for. During my Parent/Teacher conference with your teacher on Friday, she told me something interesting. We were talking about how kind, helpful, and compassionate you are. She said that your generation, your age group, seems to be like that. And that she had heard that it was because you are the post-9/11 babies, those born the year after 9/11. I well-remember that September morning, gently rubbing my swollen tummy, wondering what kind of world you would grow up in. The Lord knew special spirits were needed on the earth at that time to bring peace into the world. You definitely are one of them.
You are such a unique individual, Lina. You give the best hugs. I'm so glad you still like to hold my hand, snuggle, and tell me you love me. I love you, too.
Have a wonderful day, sweetie! Only a 1/2 day of school and Nana is here--FUN!
