Laundry--it's never ending. I really don't mind doing it, as long as it gets put away.
This morning I wanted to get some clothes sorted that the girls had cleaned ot of their closets. But I aslo wanted to go to the Y and walk on the treadmill. Decisions, decisions. I chose the treadmill. It was a good choice. Then I headed to the chiropractor for my re-evaluation appointment. Hooray--I only have to go once a week now for the next month.
I decided to make taco salad for dinner. So after dropping Merek off at preschool I sent to Safeway. When I thought I could get out of there for $20, I was not thinking clearly. $100+ later, I left with a trunk full of groceries. I also picked up some things for Lina's birthday on Thurday. She wants spice cupcakes with cream cheese frosting with gingerbread man cookies on top for her class treat. Instead of cake for her dessert after dinner, she wants fudge. I have yet to make a good batch of fudge. It never sets up right. Any suggestions or recipes to share?
It rained. All day.
A friend from high school tagged me in a photo on Facebook today. It was of our senior year cheerleading team. Yikes! Big hair and fake-tan skin. I love when people tag me in photos like that (not!).
I picked up the elementary school kids today (my carpool day). Then we headed over to get Merek from preschool. Along the way, we passed the elk field. And there were so many elk! Literally, hundreds. After we picked up Merek, I went back that way along the road and we stopped to see the elk. The kids wanted to get out of the car, but I said no. The elk were only 50 feet away. It was really fun though.
Bird and Merek had a playdate with their buddies up the street. Lina went to babysit again. Krish played with Merek and his friend for a bit then worked on his homework. I taught a piano lesson. Then we had taco salad for dinner. After dinner, I had a meeting for next summer's church camp (yes, we are already planning).
When I got home, DH had put all the kids to bed already. I was thankful for that because then I just had to finish up the dishes and put away the laundry. Last night I got about 8 hours of sleep--it was fabulous. Early morning tomorrow though getting Miranda to Jazz Band at 6:20am. And her Holiday concert is tomorrow night. I'm looking forward to hearing her play.
We're catching up on our dvr'd shows as I type this. Amazing Race and Modern Family :)

What a wonderful catchup post. I agree with you regarding the laundry...and dishes...yikes, it never ends. You really had a full day my friend.
Call my mother and get Bruce's fudge recipe. He makes better fudge than anything else I've ever tasted.
I "second" Allie's suggestion!
I have been buying the Carnation Fudge Kits. I get perfect fudge every time.
