December 14th

As I sat down to write about my day, I saw the news about the massacre at the elementary school in Connecticut. My heart aches to know all those sweet, precious children were killed. My own kids are sitting here near me, as they watch the end of their movie night selection. How thankful I am to have them here with me! I cannot even imagine the horror, the sadness, and the emptiness of the families who have lost their loved ones this day in such a horrible tragedy.

I am thankful for the quiet peace that helped me get through this busy, stressful day. Allie was very helpful with the baking for tomorrow's recital and with the kids while I taught nine piano lessons this afternoon.

Brad and I went to a holiday party white elephant gift exchange tonight. Lina babysat the boys for us. Miranda had another babysitting job for some neighbors.

Before heading to bed I still need to make up the program for tomorrow. Going to go tuck my kids in to bed first and give them an extra long hug.
