December 27th

Another morning of sleeping in--I cannot get used to this schedule! Too many late nights. School break is over in a week so I'd better start readjusting.

We went down to Pier 59 in Seattle today. We tried to go to The Crab Pot and Ivar's Fish House but the waits were too long. So we bought lunch at the Ivar's Fish Bar and ate in the outdoor heated patio. The kids were very excited to see that they COULD feed the seagulls, and saved some of their fries to do just that.

We walked up to Pike's Place and wandered through the market. Throwing fish, tons of produce, and of course a stop at Daily Dozen Doughnuts. THE best donuts ever!

The kids and I went to use the restrooms. I told the boys to wait for me right outside the women's restroom after they were done. I HATE sending my boys into public restrooms! Well, when I came out with Merek some young man was talking to Krish and Bird. I went up and said, "Hi, what are you guys talking about?" The guy looked at me and stammered and then tried to say he was telling them to be the best they could be no matter what. He told me he wasn't a freak. It kind of freaked me out. I told him "Happy Holidays" and we walked away. When I asked Krish what the guy had been saying to them, he told me he couldn't understand what he was saying. I don't know if that was true or if he was just scared to tell me. Scary parenting moment.

We stopped by Beecher's to get some Mac-n-Cheese and then to Piroshky Piroshky for dinner for the kids. Then we drove home.

I worked on some cards, using up my January 2011 Paper Posies kit. I love using up kits.

The kids and Nana stayed home to play games and watch movies while Brad and I went to see The Hobbit. It was in 3D. I thought the movies was good though it probably would have been better if I had read the book first.

When we got home, we found out that Merek had cut his foot after we left. Nana and Miranda had to clean blood out of the carpet. And then Krish threw up all over the powder room. Awesome. Poor Nana and Miranda! They had a lot of cleaning up to do. I did a quick wipe down again of the powder room. Then we tucked all the kiddos in bed. They were exhausted. And so were we.

I love Seattle, sounds like you had a fun day! I have always had issues with letting Gabe go in the mens bathroom. But now that he's bigger than me, he can't really go in the womens!:) I make him wait for me also and have always told him to just start screaming to make a scene if anything happens that he's not comfortable with. Hopefully we'll never have any issues. Sorry to hear about the cut and sickness, that's no fun. Have a good weekend!
