Labor Day Weekend

I love this three-day weekend.

We spent it at my parents' house. Two of my sisters were there with their families.

Saturday DH took the boat out with some of the older cousins and my BIL.

I took my 5 kiddos to the water park. It was 84 degrees and sunny. And only about 20 other people were there. Perfect.

Lina jumping off the diving board. Her first time! She had to pass the swimming test to get the wrist band for the diving boards. Hooray!

Krish finally attempted Screamin' Red! He loved it and went 24+ times.

Merek discovered the playground and spent a good portion of his time there.

Bird had fun swimming around but also liked having time snuggled in the towel when he got cold.

We BBQ'd in the backyard for dinner.

Sunday we all attended church together. Then ate a delicious Prime Rib roast dinner on the back patio.

The weather was so lovely we stayed out back until about 8pm. The kids had fun in the yard, even discovering a small snake in one of the window wells. DH helped retrieve it and throw it out into the field.

Merek and Bird had a grand time on the swing set with cousins, Hans and Peter. Making tunnels on the slide, flying like birds on the swing. The big cousins watched the 3rd DVD of Anne of Green Gables.

Monday we attended the Ellensburg Rodeo Finals. It was a great rodeo--several high scores. Although it was a bit disappointing that only one of the bull riders stayed on a full 8 seconds. Good for him! The kids all enjoyed it, especially the snack bags we had brought along. Merek fell asleep right at the end.

We finished off the weekend with dinner at Rodeo City BBQ. Then, we each headed our separate ways to go home and back to regular life.

I love this weekend of tradition. Such good times with family.
