Dear Christian, Happy 8th Birthday!
You were my introduction to little boys. Growing up with only sisters, I had no idea what to do with a boy. And you are teaching me more than I probably thought possible. But it is good.
You are a good boy. You are an amazing brother. You are so smart. You are so excited for challenges. You are competitive.
You have SO. MUCH. energy. Yet you have incredible thought-processing moments that show the depth of your maturity.
I love your sound effects. I love your leaps through the air to catch a football. I love the determined look on your face when you play chess. I LOVE your laugh. And, even though I can hardly understand you, I love the way you talk so fast when telling a story or replaying an event. I love your excitement for life. I love that you are a well-behaved student in class. I love your detailed drawings and the stories they tell. I love that you still let me give you hugs and kisses.
You are truly a wonderful young man.
