the January Paper Posies kit. I *heart* finishing up a kit. Seriously, it brings me much happiness. I used to hoard kits and save them for "that perfect project". No longer. Use it up, baby!
Once I get down to scraps of paper, remaining alphas, and a few embellishments, it all gets sorted into my stash. All that is left of this kit is less than 1/2 of the sparkly blue paper, the alphas, 12 inches of trim, and a handful of flower brads. So happy :)
What did I finish it off with, you ask? These:
 |
| A simple birthday card. It will be mailed in an envelope so I kept it flat. Added an SRM sticker for the sentiment--you'll be seeing lots more of those on my projects :) |

These flowers are divine. My friend, Melanie, gave me such a good idea to use one on a headband or clip.
Did you noticed the dotted background on these cards? Making Memories alphabet packaging. Love reusing packaging! |

| This is the cover page for the album I made for my sister, Michelle. Yes, this one that I worked on LAST Memorial Day weekend, that she sent me the pictures for in June of 2009! This layout is based on a sketch by Liz Chidster. Mary Ann, one of the Paper Posies DT members, had challenged us last weekend to use the sketch. |

| This layout is based on a sketch by Lisa Hidy. Over at PersonalScrapper.com MB, Erica is setting us up with 52 challenges for this year. This was for week one--a New Year's layout. The photos are from New Year's Eve 2010, and New Year's Day 2011. And Sonda, from Paper Posies, had challenged us this week to make a layout about how we can become a better YOU. I need to believe in myself more and so the journaling reflects that. |
Enjoy your day :)

Beautiful job with the cards and layouts, Melanie! I love how you used the SRM stickers! Can't wait to see more!
Your pages are adorable... so sweet of you to make an album for your sister! What a special gift! And, of course, I love your cards!
Hope you have a great weekend, Melanie! :-)
Fun projects! I knew you'd do great with that kit. :) Love seeing how you used the KI stickers. I have a pack of those that I'm slowing using up by adding here and there to layouts.
