This summer I saw some fabric sandwich/snack bags at the farmer's market. I bought three--they were a little pricey. Love the idea of this since I don't use ziploc bags in the kids' lunches. I took them over to mom's because I knew she could figure out how to make them. A few days later I received my Sept/Oct issue of Simply Handmade. Guess what was inside?? Instructions for making reuseable snack bags. Hooray!
A few friends expressed interest, too, so tomorrow I'm teaching some of them how to make them. Today was "make sure I can make it so I can teach it" day. I made a sample for each step.

Honestly, these were SO easy to make! I have more fabric for the girls' bags and can't wait to keep sewing up these cute things. Bird was so excited when I told him he could have the Incredibles bag!
Have a great Monday!

Look at you go! I'm so proud! I recently saw a tutorial on similar bags, here's the link. http://wewilsons.blogspot.com/2009/02/reusable-snack-bag-tutorial.html
Love these - you are just too creative!
That is awesome! I love the idea! Just curious as to your reason behind not using zlock? environmental? safety? If you don't mind sharing.
That is fabulous! I'm always looking for more ways to go GREEN! :-)
Those are fantastic! Someone gave my sister a really cute reusable snack bag...but we thought they were pretty expensive too. I'm gonna go look for the tutorial...thanks!
