May HIPness

The May Hip Kit was SO fun to play with! I loved the colors and combination of patterns. Kimberly included some really fun products in the Add-on kit, and the Designer Product pick.

Here are the cards I made: My SewMini had a panic attack on this card but I love how the stitches turned out :) For the "U" and "R" Maya Road chipboard letters, I inked them with ColorBox pigment ink then sprayed them with the Sweet Clover Glimmer Mist.
I asked the DT to make sure one of their cards had a masculine feel to it--here is mine (used it for Father's Day).
This first layout uses a sketch from Scrapbooks, Etc. found here. I used two cloud stickers from the October Afternoon sticker sheet, then cut out my own big cloud for the title. (And, yes, I still need to add journaling to that column on the RHS).

I cut apart the felt branches to give a little bit of outline to this layout. I had actually wanted to sew around the edges of the page but since the SewMini needed a break, the branches made do. Not sure if you can read the journaling on this but I mentioned how I love the light progression in the pictures because it shows the passage of time in this day. Merek kept going over to Grandpa throughout the day.

This layout is the same design as my "19 Valentines" I made a few months ago. The design works so well for two 4x6 photos--one horizontal and one vertical. And I like the layered background. The Pebbles chips are SO fun to add to pages!
This was a fun layout to put together. I used the Crackle Paint in the add-on for the sky and one the chipboard letters. Originally I was going to have the patterned paper strips going all the way across at the bottom, but then decided to go a little more playful and stagger them with some of the ribbon.

I have one more project to post that I used the kit for.
Have a GREAT first day of summer!! :)
