Bread

My mom makes the yummiest bread. I grew up eating her homemade whole wheat bread. Yum! I have yet to take the efforts to consistently make it on my own (ok--I've tried once). But I'd really like to.

Until then, I will continue to make my monthly trip to Great Harvest to stock up on bread for the month. I love that their bread has five ingredients: whole wheat, honey, yeast, water, and salt. That's it. No words I can't pronounce or have no idea what they are. It makes me feel good to feed this bread to my kids. Each month I buy 8 large loaves of honey whole wheat, 3 white (DH's fav), and two Cinnamon Chips. I freeze them to last for the month.

After our trip to GH for the month, my niece said, "you should take a picture of the bread". Thanks for the idea, Desiree. It is a part of our daily life. Maybe sometime this summer I'll try making bread again, or maybe I'll just keep going to Great Harvest.

Do you make your own bread? If you do and you love your recipe, please share :) I'd like to try it sometime.

We passed a Great Harvest in Louisville last month. I may have to stop in there sometime now.

We don't make our own bread but when I was younger my Grandparents did. It was SO yummy! My Grandpa used to dry fruit for me too, I loved it! So the bread we do eat is this Organic, omega-3, grain bread from Sam's Club and it is THE best bread I have ever had! However, I was there today and couldn't find it so I hope they didn't get rid of it :o( I love toast with honey on it!
