Echo Park Paper projects and more

So I wasn't going to show my projects from this weekend to spare you from a project-heavy post. However, my mom has encouraged me otherwise (moms are good for those sorts of things, aren't they?)

With my birthday money I bought the new Echo Park Paper Summertime line. LOVE it! Very fun to play with :) I added in some little birds and clouds from My Little Shoebox, too.

This next layout was inspired by a Pencil Lines sketch:While in Utah, we stopped in at Pebbles to do a little shopping (and I truly did little only spending $10). I bought these cute papers from MME and some Doodlebug alphas. Now on to the Family Reunion photos. Last June, my sister Michelle sent me photos from our family reunion in summer of 2008. Over 500 photos. She also sent along a Creative Memories album to put them in. I had yet to touch them because the task seemed a little daunting. But I thought this weekend scrapping retreat would be the perfect place to tackle the project. Friday night I sorted the photos. First, I sorted them by event, then weeded out the duplicate-type ones or ones that weren't too good of anyone in particular. Then I organized the events to go in the album. I also had a stack of leftover photos that were good and maybe included family members that weren't in other photos. So I sorted those by family.

All photos were originally 4x6. I used really basic layouts and tried to fit lots of photos on each page. Here are a few samples of the 70 pages that I completed:

I still have the cover page to do and on the final page I'm going to put a list of all of the families so my sister can refer to it. I left the journaling to her :)

Over the weekend I also put together 18 cards. Shelley had the Stampin'Up Top Note die. Hello--I want that! I used up three kits from last year--hooray, I love using up kits!! I left this set blank to personalize for use later.
Mom, there you go. I sent you a link to all of my project this morning :) Love you!

I am so jealous right now! I wish I had the time to scrap that much. :)

I love everything you created but my two faves are the Echo Park 2-pager and the LO about yourself. Great work!!!
