For this first layout I used Pencil Lines #179 for the design. DD #1 has such a happy smile and I loved finding a quiz that she had filled out, saying she was 100% happy with who she was. For the % sign I cut the "x" for the slant piece.

Lifted myself for this one :) I love getting lots of photos on one page.

For the banner I cut the red Prima paper with white dots into triangles then traced those onto the green cardstock and cut the shapes slightly smaller. My little secret? I didn't really string the whole banner together. Just overlapped the pieces and punched a hole in the end ones to tie the twine through. :)
This layout was inspired by Shannon Zickel. The Hip DT is using this LO by Shannon for inspiration on our 2-page layouts. Here is how mine turned out:
Since the pink Thickers didn't work with the colors I used the Cat's Eye ink pad from the add-on kit to color them. Oh, and the leaves behind the flowers--I cut those myself and then just copied the vein design from the Crate Paper patterned paper leaves. The green on the MME paper matched better. (disclaimer: I added some Cosmo Cricket Tiny Type letters since this was such a LONG title--thanks for those, Amy!)Be sure to check out the Hip Blog over then next week to see all of the designers' work. I'll be working on my cards and mini-album the next few days. What a great kit!

Great work, Melanie! Everything is really CUTE! And I'm LOVING that you changed the color of your Thickers. I never, ever remember to do that! I always just sit here thinking, this is not working for me! LOL! Thanks for the inspo!
