Early morning treat

This week I started walking again early in the morning. Since Paige got Esme in December we stopped our early morning walks. I miss them. And my body needs more exercise. So I decided to begin with them again, even if it does mean going alone and getting up at an unreasonable hour. The quiet time alone is good for me though. Gives me uninterrupted thought-processing. Hearing the frogs at the pond and seeing the deer in the neighborhood are enjoyable to me. But the best treat of all on my early morning walks is the view on the way home. It takes my breath away every day. So on Wednesday when I got home I grabbed my camera and hopped the backyard fence to take this picture. I loved the fog settling in the mountain pass and the blue-hue of the morning, just before sunrise. Sometimes it is just little things like this that make life so wonderful.

Oh my goodness. How lucky are you to have that incredible view of the mountains from your home. Spectacular! What a great place to take a walk!

Well done! (the getting up and walking alone, and the photo.) I'm inspired to do better myself.
