Rattlesnake Lake

On Saturday after Bird's party, we decided to go cool off at Rattlesnake Lake. Even though we've lived here over 4 years we hadn't yet made it up there. It is only 15 minutes from our house. We know we live in a gorgeous part of the country, but when we go somewhere like this, it reminds us even more so.

I love how Krish's goggles glow in this picture. And the flip-flops sitting right by the water.For the most part, Merek hung out with me on the beach in the stroller. But B, ever persistent to get the kids to like water, spent some time with him in the lake. Merek didn't like it at first but eventually became ok with it. I love that about B--so patient with the kids.Krish had a great time playing on this old tree stump as well.And he loves taking photos with my camera. I got a kick out of this one he took of his toes. Fun to know what goes through a 5-year-old's mind.Krish took this one, too, of me and B. So happy to have days like this as a family.

Lina had a great time and even saw some of her classmates from school there. I didn't get any good pics of her because she was off in the water the whole time. We definitely need to spend more time at the lake.
