1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-TEN!! 10 Months!

YOWEE! (as my kids would say--something cool but still a little weird).

Merek is 10 months today. So hard to believe! He is climbing up stairs now, pulling up to everything, and has even taken a few cruising steps. Along with the climbing and standing come a lot of falls, too. In fact, he has a nice bruiser today by his eye thanks to a fall on the Bird's Tonka truck. His other bottom side tooth came through and is two top side teeth are just about through the gums, too.

He loves to wave, opening and closing his fist, when we say "bye-bye". He points and grunts telling us something that is important to him (just wish we knew). Loves to clap when we say "Yea!" or when we do Patty-cake.

He still loves to snuggle (which I love, too). My aunt pointed out how cute it is that he puts his forehead to mine when he needs to feel close to me (when he is tired, unsure, or shy). I'm glad she pointed that out because it is something that he does often but I hadn't really thought to make note of it.

Still eating pretty much the same. I've cut back a bit on his food to be sure he is getting enough liquids, especially in the warmth of summer. He loves watermelon and blueberries. He wants to eat what we are eating. I know he'll love milk, yogurt, and cheese--just two more months (isn't it funny that there is a set time when they can have those things?).

Merek did GREAT on our trip to California. We were gone for 10 days and drove for the trip. 1200 miles down, 1200 miles back. Two long days each way. He was a trooper for all of our little car trips in between, too. At Disneyland he did pretty well, but got tired of the stroller. The first day we were there, I ended up carrying him the last two hours. He learned to climb the stairs at Nana's. We went to the pool, too, and he enjoyed sitting on the stairs once he got used to the water.

On our trip he tried his first french fry (I know, I know), had his first trolley ride, and ate quite a few hamburger buns. :)

The kids were so excited for him to turn 10 months that they sang Happy Birthday to him at breakfast!

He doesn't look 10 months old - he looks older! Love the forhead touch comment. My Kevin was a "skin" baby and would always stick his hands up my sleeves to rub my arm. I always enjoy your updates. :)

Mel, he is such a cutie!!! I love reading the updates about him and your other children!

The forehead thing is really cute. Amy mentioned up her sleeve - Bradon has chosen something else to do - LOL. I am really trying to stop him from doing it. He's almost 2!

I can't beleive it has almost been a year since he was born (I am sure you feel the same) thanks for keeping us updated and I do wish I had a blog when my boys were babies since they change so much. Just look at the difference next to that bear! Not only will scrapbooking being a great keepsake for all your babies but Merek will have this special to look back on!
