On Saturday we had Bird's birthday party. The kids get a party every other year. Girls one year, boys the next. He was so excited it was time for his party! He went with a bug theme. With some help from friends on the Personal Scrapper MB, I got some ideas for the party.
Two of the friend arrived a bit before the other two (we let the kids invite the number of friends corresponding with how old they are). So we got out some games and played them--I Spy Bingo and Diego 1-2-3 game.

When the other friends arrived we made bug hats (thanks to clip art on the internet) and went outside for a bug hunt. I showed the kids all the bugs they would be looking for ahead of time. They each had a bag to go out and collect their bugs in.

Here is the cute little group of buddies with their bug hats on.

And the birthday boy so happy when we sang to him. He didn't want chocolate pudding for the dirt cups with worms so we did chocolate ice cream instead.

Looks like a fun party! (And you blogged two days in a row...go Mel!) ;)
Wow Mel that is a great idea for a little boys party...must remember it when Christian turns 7 in September...he is STILL in the bug mode:)
