Star Student project

Last month, Krish was the Star Student for a week in his class.
As Star Student, he got to bring in photos of his life,
fill out a "Meet Me" sheet,
and include any other special items.
He had three drawings that he wanted to use.
On Friday, our family was invited into the classroom for
his presentation of his Star Student board.
And, we brought in a treat--red licorice (he wanted to
be sure to have something that all of his classmates
could eat because there are a few with allergies).

The March Scarlet Lime Frugal Fab kit
was perfect to document all of this.
To put it all together, I used a Close To My Heart 12x12 folder.

This is the cover.
Inside, I simply placed all the photos in chronological order.
Then added the green star-border to show through when the front cover is closed.
The top layer of the back cover is his "Meet Me" sheet.
I stapled it at the top.

To view the drawings underneath, the Meet Me sheet lifts up.
First is Krish's drawing of a chameleon.
I glued that back to back with his train tunnel drawing.
Then I stapled all of the drawings in the top left corner.

So when the top drawing is lifted, the two other ones are displayed.
His third drawing of a football game is adhered to the back cover of the folder.
Krish was very excited to see this all put together. I'm happy, too. :)

And, so thankful for the sunshine today.

This is very cool! I wish Gabe's school did this so the kids could get to know each other better!

Darling page & art work! As a mom with a daughter who has food allergies, I think it's very cool & so thoughtful of Krish to think of bringing something that everyone can eat. Most would not do that! What a little sweetie! :-)
