It's HIP 2-B SQUARE

The February Hip Kit features Cosmo Cricket, My Mind's Eye, and American Crafts. Such a fun, bright mix of papers and embellishments.

I loved how the CC chipboard had a mother hen and five chicks--perfect for me and my kids :)

This picture of Merek was taken on Valentines Day. He plopped on the floor with a book. I LOVE seeing my kids read and look at books!! For the red circle behind the chipboard ribbon, I punched a scalloped circle and then snipped between each scallop for a pleats-type effect.

I think this is only the 2nd time I've scrapped a picture of me as a child. My mom made us beautiful clothes and I thought the CC Material Girl line would be fun to use to write about that.
While waiting for DD at softball practice one day last week, I snipped along these rulers for a fringed look. I knew I wanted to use them on a page like this and love how the layers turned out.For this next layout I used a sketch by Lisa Hidy. These are pictures from the concert in January DH and I missed because of Merek's 2nd degree burns. I'm glad to have the photos of the girls and how happy they were to be there :)

A super-simple layout here--just cut along the pattern of the paper. As I tried to add more to this page it just didn't work--so I left it alone and embraced the simplicity :)
Lina's teacher is due to have a baby this month and will probably miss their class pictures. So I asked her if I could come in and take their picture together. Lina has loved her teacher this year--she's happy she is having a baby but will sure miss her for the rest of the year. I love this sparkling flower paper. It is so pretty!

This month each member of the Hip DT is making a birthday card. Here is mine--just in time for my SIL's birthday tomorrow :) I'll have more Hip projects to share later in the week so be sure to check back for those.
Have a FABULOUS day!! :)

Of course, I love everything you made! How cool that there were five chicks for you to use! LOVE the "sew cute" LO - you were adorable! Merek reading is just precious. The simple layout is simply perfect!

Makes me very happy to see a 2 page layout on the web...not many of those around. I only scrapbook 2 pagers...I feel outdated!
