Here are a couple of Easter layouts that I made with the March Hip Kit.
This layout kept
evolving as I was working on it. Hip Kits have so many fun embellishments in
them . . . I kept adding and adding until I felt it was complete.
Little things such as the
yellow banner pieces under the red dotted strip at the top, the mini word
stickers to frame the journaling, layering the number stickers for the
journaling bullet points. I wouldn't have thought to use red and white striped
paper for an Easter egg page, but I loved the brightness and energy of
it--perfect for my then 2-year-old.
Having the small alphabet
stickers makes it easy to do a longer title. And sometimes journaling can be a
little overwhelming, but if you simply make a list that can help the words flow
easier to your page.
I wanted to keep
this layout light so I matted the photos on yellow patterned paper--but to add a
subtle touch I punched a scallop border on the top of the mat.
For an extra pop of color
I used the corner bracket stickers to frame in the title and journaling. And
then for a fun finishing touch I clusters some embellishments in the center near
the title.
We had a really nice Easter this year. These are all photos from last year. I'm ready to get this year's photos on pages now :)
