Hooray for Friday!

Wow, Friday arrived quite quickly this week. And I can't say I'm sad about that . . .

Anyone know how to get a 7-year-old boy to stop burping? He has discovered how to burp--loud--and does it all the time, even at school! Gah! I did not grow up with brothers so I have no idea how to deal with boys, their high energy, silliness, and potty humor. Suggestions?

This morning I'm going to breakfast with a friend, Carrie, who blogs about amazing food. I cannot wait!

This afternoon I get to teach my lovely group of piano students. Teaching piano is a great blessing for me and our family. It helps me keep my instructional skills in shape, and provides a bit of extra income (that has come in very handy at times) for us. Though I enjoy teaching, I have to keep my student roll to only 10 right now.

Many inquiries have come in for me to teach more students but I have to maintain balance between my mom/wife role and my teacher role. I don't know how I managed 25 students when we lived in Pennsylvania! The kids were smaller then, and we had 2-3 fewer, and I taught at night instead of after school. DH stepped right in to prepare dinners, give baths, and handle bedtimes.

While we have lived here in Washington for the past six years, Megan has babysat for me during piano lessons. However, today will be her last Friday piano lesson/babysitting gig. She is graduating HS next Friday and then will be off to college. Boo! But doesn't she look fabulous in her Prom dress?

She began babysitting for me as a mother's helper when she was 12. Bird was 5 months old! The kids are really going to miss her. I'm going to really miss her!

How did I get onto that topic? Oh yes, I was going over our schedule for today. Both girls have softball games tonight. Lina's last one--though she isn't playing because of her broken finger. What? I didn't blog about that yet? Well, maybe I'll tell that story another time. Let's just say Friday the 13th is an unlucky day . . .
Saturday both boys have baseball games, back-to-back. And it is supposed to be SUNNY! Hooray!

I'll be back on Monday with my June Scarlet Lime projects :)

Enjoy your weekend!

Yeah for Friday - love to hear any suggestions about 7 year old boys and body noises. It is non-stop here too. He's even taught the baby! (aargh)

I'll need your hints for the burping soon. So far my boys can't fake burp, but they make this silly sound that to them is a burp. They go to time out....but that's a bit harder for older boys :) I don't know why they think potty humor is sooooo funny????
