We had a nice Valentines Day. DH left me and the kids each a box of chocolates on the table that morning (and, yes, I LIKE getting a box of chocolates). Lina, Krish, and Bird were all very excited about the celebrations at school.

Bird, Merek, and I met up with DH at Claim Jumper for lunch. Merek fell asleep on the way there. Thank heaven for Dinosaur Train on the Windows Phone! Merek wouldn't have made it through lunch without it.
Then I dropped off Bird at preschool and headed to the elementary school for Lina's class party. I had made pumpkin applesauce muffins (dairy free) for her class. Her teacher requested no sugary snacks since it is also Heart Awareness month. She wanted heart-healthy snacks.
Krish's class was celebrating with small activities throughout the day.
When I picked up Bird, he was smiling ear to ear, wearing a King crown and carrying a red heart balloon.
After school the kids and I prepared a special dinner for DH. Actually, we just used leftovers from the meal he cooked on Sunday (LOL) though Miranda did make a fruit salad. I made a Death by Chocolate trifle that was delish!

I love that we enjoy Valentines Day with the kids. We only have 16 or so more Valentines with kids in the house. Then we'll have years and years of Valentines just the two of us. It was our 20th Valentines Day together this year. :)
