A Banner, a Two-Pager, and a GIVEAWAY! :)

When Kimberly asked the DT to make a banner with the October kit, I smiled. Love banners. I made this Thankful banner to hang in our home for Thanksgiving time.

I used the Teresa Collins orange brocade paper and Graphic 45 Halloween papers. The cream parts are actually the Pink Paislee alphabet packaging. For the triangles I mixed the Basic Grey epoxy stickers with the October Afternoon stickers.

Each month the Hip DT is asked to make a two-page layout. The past few months I have been making up the sketch for the DT to follow for their 2-pagers.

Here is the sketch I made for the DT to use as inspiration.

I love the Fall feel of this layout.

I challenged the DT members to use one of the Tuesday Tutorials on the Hip Blog from the past two months. I used Bethany's pleated paper technique here, and also in the top R corner of the layout.

For the cluster of embellishments by the title, I combined several different manufacturer products from the kit--button, twine, Graphic 45 tags, Basic Grey epoxy, Teresa Collins paper for the pieced pumpkin, and Prima gems. The Field Trip letters were originally green but I colored the brown with my Zig marker.
Well, that is it for my October Hip Kit projects. This kit was PACKED! I still have quite a bit left to use even after five layouts, four cards, and a banner.

Speaking of stuff to use, the 15th is my monthly PURGE day. I'm going to fill a bag full of product to send to one of my lucky blog readers, a way of saying thanks. Don't worry--it'll be good stuff (all products from the last year)!

Leave a comment by Wednesday the 17th letting me know your favorite Thanksgiving food. Followers, you'll be entered twice like always--thanks for following me and my ramblings :)

Oh, and if you want to make a layout with my October Hip kit sketch, leave me a link to your blog in your comment. I'll draw a name from everyone who does that, too, and send some goodies out.

Check back Thursday the 18th to see the winners.

Have a fabulous weekend! Happy Birthday to Melia, Papa, Dad, and Michelle!

What a fabulous sketch! And your layout has SO many beautiful elements! My favorite Thanksgiving food hands down is the pumpkin pie - life is short - eat dessert first!

Love what you did with the sketch - I'm so terrible with 2-pagers!

And as for the food, I can't live without stuffing (with sausage!)

It would be a tie between my grandmas's dressing and my father in law's brisket. Do I really have to choose just one?? LOL!
