November Hip Kit layouts and cards

Fun products to work with this month from Hip 2-b Square! I'll start off by showing you the cards I put together with the kit:
(I was so happy when my 7-year-old said: "I like how you did the steam from the car with those little dot things. That made my day! ) :)
This first layout was really fun to make. I LOVE the Rusty the Rooster story on this October Afternoon paper! So, I didn't want it to be lost under a layout or cut up. I put the photos, ribbon and alphas on the top of a page protector (cut the edges off). Then on the back of the page protector I put brown cardstock to cover the backs of the photos. The page protector is attached to the base paper at the top with ribbons. That way we can lift it up and still read the story :)
This is probably my favorite layout of the bunch. I just love how it came together and the colors are so happy.
Krish had his birthday party the week of Thanksgiving. It was small, simple, and fun! I used one of the clouds to make the top of the cupcake.
For the candle and the cupcake bottom I pulled out my trusty ol' Fiskars crimper. Haven't used that in years! Love how it turned out.
Cutie-patootie Merek getting into things. He LOVES climbing on the dishwasher. The Bella Blvd. stamp was a fun part of the add-on this month.

Bird's preschool Harvest Feast last week (still love using big circles in the background). The October Afternoon die cuts were a great addition to this page. :)

This last layout is based on a Pencil Lines sketch. The bold yellow background scared me at first (same with the birthday LO above), but I really like it and the brightness it adds to the photos.
Thanks, Kimberly, for the great kit!

All of these are just amazing, but my favorite has to be the one with Merek in the fridge and ON the dishwasher. You have your hands, full, huh? The journaling sounds true - can you imagine if you had him first! ;)
