Persistent

Tonight Lina came to me with a piece of dental floss and said her tooth needed to be pulled. She is so persistent when it comes to those teeth coming out. It is her 5th baby tooth to be pulled. She'll wiggle and wiggle those things--just wants them out. That, or the $1 she gets from the tooth fairy for each one.

And I've learned that I need to be more persistent in expressing my wishes and thoughts to others. I finally gave in to being induced yesterday--despite weeks of arguing against it--and ended up getting to go home after the pitocin wasn't helping labor to progress. It felt so right to go home and just wait for nature to take it's course. I'm so thankful that the midwife on-call was more in tune to what I really wanted instead of what others thought was best for me. So, yes, this makes me overdue and we have to wait longer to see our little guy . . . but it will be the best thing to make sure I'm ready and he is ready.
