I don't know if it is because my dad was a hunter. But wildlife fascinate me. Fortunately for me, our town in is an elk migration path. There is a field down by the girls' school that often has a herd of elk grazing. We pass by it each time we go to swimming or gymnastics or to the grocery store. The kids always look for elk. If there aren't any, Bird will say, "No elk today." The other night when I took Miranda to the gym, they were there--about 40 of them--50 yards from the road. I drove back home to get my camera. The light was fading quickly so some of them are a little blurry because of the longer exposure time. Lina and Krish jumped in the car with me so they could see them, too. We sat and watched them for about 30 minutes.
