The Best Nest

On our way to sports class this morning, the boys start reciting "The Best Nest" together. Krish was Mr. Bird and Bird was Mrs. Bird. It was hilarious! They seriously only missed about 5 words from the whole book. We returned it to the library last night (mind you, this is about the 50th time we've checked it out, plus Grandma has it at her house). I'm thinking maybe it should be on one of the boys' Christmas lists since they love it so much. My favorite part of the recitation was Bird singing as Mrs. Bird, "I love my house. I love my nest. In all the world my nest is best." (And I loved that they used my editing efforts of "don't like" instead of "hate" as printed in the book).

Oh, and on another note: Did you know a head of cabbage costs over $4.00!!! DH asked me to get one at the grocery story today. I saw the $.99 sign and thought "Cabbage is cheap". Then I looked at my receipt--$.99/lb. Oh . . . what makes it so valuable? Yuck.
