The other day I had a writing workshop for the boys. Curtis' assignment was to write about his birthday. Here is his paper:

He got breakfast in bed.

Flap-jack Party stack

(pancakes with strawberries and cool whip)

He has his whole menu planned out for today.

Grandma and Grandpa are coming over to celebrate with us.

Dad is working from home.

It is SUNNY.

And adding to the specialness of the day,

today would have been my Grandfather's 100th birthday!

It will be a great day!
