8 Months

My goodness--where has time gone? Actually, he is almost 9 months now but I'm just getting around to posting his 8 month picture. Which makes me a little sad, because I can't exactly remember what he was doing at 8 months compared to what he is doing now 3 weeks later--he has started doing different things already!

Let's see what I can pull together during his 8th month . . . new foods: chicken, graham crackers (loves them!), "garden vegetables" (spinach and carrots--liked them), and drinking from a sippy (the cheap kind with a squishy spout--won't do other sippies).

Top left tooth FINALLY broke through the gums. Has started scooting a bit--about 12 inches or in a circle--to get to things.

Had pictures taken at Penneys--this was his first photo shoot outside the home. How sad to be the 5th child! The girls had photo shoots at 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, and 18 months!

Merek is super interactive with us now. He is so smiley--and even seems to bring his top lip up a bit when smiling, now that he has a tooth on top. He wrinkles his nose, too, when he smiles. He is a great eater--usually a bowl of cereal plus two jars of baby food. I try to do a veggie and fruit for each meal (he eats three meals a day). He is taking a bottle now--we figured out he didn't like the formula we first tried. So we bought a different kind and he'll drink it now. He is particular about what bottle we use as well.

He is sleeping in a bit longer spurts--about 5-6 hours a night. He is a sweetie--even when he squawks super loud at the dinner table because he wants the food we are eating. Soon, baby, soon.
