Thanksgiving at Home mini-album

Hip 2-b Square owner, Kimberly, asked me to do a Thanksgiving-themed album with the October Add-on kit mini album. I'm so glad she did! It was very fun to put together and I LOVE having all of these pictures in one cute place to display during the holidays. In fact, I may just take it with me this year to mom and dad's for Thanksgiving :)
These are the front and back shots of the album open.
I just made one journaling box to describe my general feelings about spending the holiday at home with family. The pictures actually span the past three Thanksgivings.
Isn't my Grandma so pretty? It was hilarious when she held my baby--"What a fat little toad!" she exclaimed. She always speaks her mind. And I love that about her!
Mom finishing up the turkey, with DH keeping watch behind. It's hard for him to stay out of the kitchen. Last year most of the family went to Leavenworth on Friday. I stayed home with the baby and boys.
Mom usually has some little crafts for the kids to do during down time (i.e. waiting for food time). There is a kids' table and an adult table for Thanksgiving dinner.
My handsome dad :) The kids always have fun riding jeeps out on the driveway, too.
And finally, the traditional Turkey Bowl! This is always fun to watch.

Writing all this makes me so excited for Thanksgiving next week. We won't have as many family members there this year but I'm grateful to spend the holiday with my grandma and my parents.
By the way, if you have one of these Maya Road house albums to make--I suggest NOT taking it apart. Trying to take the rings off the chipboard wasn't very easy. I just measured the rectangle sizes of each piece to cut out the patterned paper and then marked where the holes were for the rings. After punching the holes in the paper and applying adhesive, I slipped the paper through the rings and stuck it down on each side of the chipboard.
Also, there is a fun online crop going on over at PersonalScrapper. Erica has given out 16 challenges to complete before Thanksgiving. Challenges always inspire me :)
