Can you believe this little guy is 4 months already?? I can't!! And he isn't so little! At his 4 month checkup the other day he weighed in at 19 lbs. 2 oz.! He is 28 inches long. No wonder my back hurts so bad :) But he sure is a cutie and I love all his rolls and chubs. The medical field has combined three vaccinations into one shot so instead of getting 5 shots, he only had to be stuck twice. One of the five vaccinations was admistered orally. That is new as well. It is amazing how much has changed since our first baby was born not quite 10 years ago! We started her and her sister on rice cereal at 4 months. The pediatrician told me to wait until 6 months for this guy. Whatever! He is so hungry and ready for food. He watches us very intently when we are eating.
He is still nursing every 2-3 hours. I've been trying to stretch him between feedings at night to every 4 hours the past two nights. So far he is doing ok. I just have to get him calmed down and back to sleep at least once during that 4 hours. I'm hoping that next week we can try to get him to sleep all night. Not looking forward to the crying.
He loves exersaucer and will play with the little train toys on it. He can grasp his paci when I hand it to him, and sometimes even gets it to his mouth. He loves to suck on his fingers still. Loud noises, like the vacuum, don't bother him at all. He doesn't nap quite as long in the swing but is still very content in it.
He is wearing 9-12 months clothes now and still is in size 3 diapers. He likes me to carry him facing out hitched up on my hip. DH thinks this is so funny that I can prop him on my hip and carry him around. :) He is getting quite vocal and will let out loud squeals and yells from his highchair or wherever else he is to let someone know it is time to pick him up. He can kind of roll over, if he is on a soft surface (like our bed). At the doctor's office he rolled from his tummy to back when the doctor was seeing how strong he was on his tummy. Great performance! (That was a first and I think kind of a fluke).
He gives us great smiles and laughs when we tickle him or blow raspberries on his tummy. Yesterday he even laughed back at me when I was giggling at him. Love him!!

He's a doll!
He is so cute Mel! Glad he's doing well!
He is just adorable! I love reading your monthly updates. I can't believe he's gotten so big so fast! Enjoy him!
Awww he is so CUTE! I can't believe he is 19 lbs!! Jadyn was *barely* 23 lbs at his 18 month check up! But he is above average on his height and below average on his weight. The Dr was giving me the second degree asking me what he ate for each meal making me feel like I never feed him! I was just like whatever, he eats until he is full!! I don't force him to eat if he doesn't want to but I don't starve him either! lol
He is adorable! I can't believe time has gone by so quickly.
He is SO cute! I love how chubby he is, he has the best baby double chin ever:)!
