Time to lose weight?

So, this past week we made a quick last-minute trip to California. It was a great opportunity for our new baby to meet his dad's side of the family. Anyway, the baby was being a bit fussy for me and after walking around for quite awhile I handed him over to B. Immediately, he calmed down (as usual). Our niece, Heather California, said, "Oh, it must be because his dad is so cushion-y." My SIL elbowed her and told her that probably made Uncle B feel bad. Then our other niece, Sam, chimed in, "He's like that so Aunt Melanie doesn't feel bad."

Hmph--guess we are a little too "cushion-y". Good thing a new year is coming for those never-ending "lose weight" resolutions :)

ps--I promise to post some pictures soon.

pps--Baby at one month: smiling, eating every 1.5-2 hours, sleeps 2-hour stretches at night (if I'm so lucky), 9 lbs. 10 oz., 23 inches, loves to be held by daddy, size 1-2 diapers, wearing 0-3 clothes

oh my goodness, out of the mouths of babes, right? If it helps you feel any better, I'm almost 5 months pp & my DD says "Mama, why do you have another baby in your belly"? & no, I'm not preggo! I think it's time to step-up my workout routine ;-)

I'm sure you look great, no worries girl.

My little sister told my mom once that she was nicer to hug because she was cushiony... I think that is right.
