He actually has been smiling for a few weeks now and it is so fun to finally have it in a photo!Lina had her birthday party two weeks ago. It was a candyland theme. The girls decorated gingerbread houses, made dessert pizzas, and played a life-sized Candyland game. At the end of the game, they enter the "Candy Castle" (i.e. puppet theater tent) where there were bowls and jars of different kinds of candy for them to fill their treat bags with. They loved it! One of her friends exclaimed, "This is the BEST party EVER!!"
Our family made a last-minute trip to California last week to visit B's parents and family. We weren't planning to go to Disney but the opportunity came up on Friday so we went. It was a gorgeous day--love the 70 degree weather in December! Since we only had one day and the baby and it was crowded, we let each of the kids pick one ride to go on, plus B and I each picked one as well. We got to stay for the Christmas parade and met Janice and Jim for dinner.

Looking at these pictures makes me want to go back to California. The wind is blowing hard outside. Snow is all over the place. But, alas, it IS technically winter today.

Merek has really changed since his birth announcement! He is so cute! I love your family shot in front of the castle. Sorry you weren't visiting CA under better circumstances.
