So, I finally decided to set up a blog for my photo group challenges. Every once in awhile, I may have other projects on here that I create, particularly scrapbooking stuff. But, we'll see . . .
First, I need to figure out all the posting stuff and then try to remember how to get here. :)
This first picture I am posting was taken at Laguna Beach tidepools earlier this month. This huge orange seastar was just inside the ledge from the pounding waves. I had to straddle the crevice to get the shot and almost got wet from the incoming waves.

Nice shot, Melanie! I like how the focus is on the main subject, the seastar, but I also like how the anemone and the urchin are kept in as their colors add to the photo.
Ooops, I published my comment before I was done (the cat distracted me). So... also, my preference for this photo is that I would've cropped it on the left side just a bit to bring the focus in on the subject.
