Does your hair define you? Do you feel that it contribute to who you are?
For most of my life, I have had long blonde hair. The majority of compliments I receive are about my hair.
When I was five year old, my mom was going on an extended tour trip. My dad did not want to have to worry about our hair so we all got pixie cuts. My hair is thick and course. This hairstyle did not bode well for me. Hair stuck out every which way and did not lie down nicely. So, from that point on I kept my hair long.
After having a couple of my babies, I cut my hair short but not super short. And I liked it short, but always hated the inbetween style of growing it back out.
All that being said, I've secretly always wanted to cut it super short again. It seems fun. It seems less stressful. It seems freeing.
But should I? I'm not sure that I'm brave enough. What do you think?

I've always felt that it's just hair and will grow back if I got a cut I didn't like. I've had short, long and everything in between! I always decide to grow it out, then cut it short and start all over again! Right now I'm making myself stick with long for awhile!:)
I'm definitely a big hair girl. Play on words there wasn't intentional... although I am a product of the 80's & love hairspray! LOL But yes, it does define me in a way. I've always said though, that it's just hair & it will grow. Change is good. It somehow takes you into a new chapter when you have a new "do." I chopped mine short right before I turned 40 & it's slowly grown out again over the last few years. On Saturday, I just got bangs. It's a subtle change, but still totally different. I say GO FOR IT!!! Whatever "do" you have, you'll look beautiful! How could you not??!!
