Happy New Year 2012!

It is so crazy that it is already 2012! I remember as a kid wondering what the year 2000 would be like :)

On Dec. 30th we had a hail storm that covered the ground so it look like it had snowed. It stayed cold enough overnight for the hail to stay on the ground. The kids were a little disappointed that we couldn't go sledding though.

By mid-afternoon the house was getting a bit stuffy so we all headed down to the park to get out some energy. Bikes, scooters, ripstiks . . .

 Merek loves to swing. He wants me to give him underdogs constantly. He is so fun!

 Krish was tired of the scooter and worked on learning how to manuever his ripstik for a bit. But he got frustrated and gave up. We will have to keep working on that.

 Lina rode the scooter for awhile then took off on Miranda's bike. It fit her well . . . they may be bike-sharing from now on.

 Miranda possesses the ripstik. It was on her Christmas wish list but Krish got it instead. She and Lina have been riding it around the house and this was the first time outdoors. She could go around the whole park loop without stopping or falling off.

I always enjoy going to the park as a family. Just to be outside and get some activity. Especially on these winter days when we do not get outside enough. It was a fun way to spend our last day of 2011.
