January Photo Assignments

Here are my pictures for the January Photo Assignments. The photos of the courthouse below were done for Assignment #2. We were suppose to take photos of a detailed building, using the same zoom lens setting, but changing the JPEG options each time.

Option #1: Smallest and Lowest Quality JPEG

Option #2: Largest JPEG and Lowest Quality

Option #3: Smallest JPEG and Finest Quality When I studied each one on my DIS, option #2 was the most clear. Option #3 was a bit darker and Option #1 was just plain blurry when looked at up close.

For Assignment #1 we took photos in (P) mode and used AWB. I couldn't do the viewfinder vs. LDC screen b/c my camera doesn't let me use the LCD to frame a picture. Still, I took a scenery shot and a picture of my kid ;) to capture his character.

That's all for now. Oh--I forgot to do assignment #3. I'll go do that now.

I love your composition of your son - great job!

I love you're scenery shot - we will talk about the rule of 3rds more in the next month or two. Very intersting trees and texture.
